7 Days in 7B

We returned home from a week of kamikaze remodeling in Utah last week, and are so very pleased with the changes we made.  I was worried the unit wouldn't come together in time, but it did!  Thought I would share some before and after pictures on our blog, along with some ideas for future blog posts.

The living space is what drew us to 7B.  The comfort and warmth of the walls, the fireplace, and the soft creak of the wood floor.  Here's the thing about Jon and I--we love to change our house in MN, too.  We are driven to "make it ours."  Or "REmake it ours" all over again sometimes, too.  ;)  So, despite feeling at home in 7B from the beginning, we photographed the entire unit and measured all the walls before closing.  Then we spent three months planning the changes we wanted to make from afar.  Shopping, framing, color matching, wishing, dreaming.  Then we loaded our trailer, hooked it to Jon's car, and away we went.

New to the unit is an upper loft with bunk beds, before this was a creepy closet.  :/

Last shots are the patio in winter, and then in summer.  Haven't decided yet which I prefer!

So, where to go from here with this blog?  If you have stayed at our place and are willing to share a story about a hike you did, or some tips on mountain biking, etc, I would love to post it here.  I am going to work on journaling our hikes, and also on some resources for guests (maps, books, and the like.)
